Winter Party Perfection

Christmas has come and gone. We’ve rung in the New Year. The holidays have passed, but one thing is for certain, winter is here to stay. Hopefully, your social calendar hasn’t dried up completely. At least mine seems to have, following the madness that was the holiday season. To be quite frank, I am glad! I needed the break! My ability to give attention to The Lilac Press was definitely lowered during the holiday season, but not to worry! I am back, and ready to take on 2017 with all I’ve got!

One thing I do wish I’d known about back in November, before all the holiday festivities started, was the Maggy London dress pictured here. To be honest, this is the only dress I would have needed all season. I know I know, that is a bold statement to make, but let me tell you why it’s true…

Why This Dress is Perfect for Any Winter Occasion

One // Who knows how long the off the shoulder trend will last?! It took me a little while to warm up to the look. I may be a little slow to come around to trends at times, but I like to tell myself it is because my style is more timeless. Well, while the OTS style is in and while I’m into it, I fully plan to take advantage.

Two // The blended cool tones of winter: blues and greens and icy purples, actually make this bold print quite versatile. I might even go so far to call in a neutral! While you wouldn’t be able to pair just anything with this dress, you could most certainly match grays, nudes, navys, blacks, greens, and purples (especially if they come in velvet) for a well coordinated style.

Three // It is knee length. This makes it super appropriate for work or church events. But, you could still fully dress it up for a night out with a high heel.

Four // It is festive! That shimmery sheen – so perfect for standing out an any party!

So, have I sold you yet? I sure have sold myself on this little number again….I may have to wear it to work tomorrow….?
