Home Office Refresh with Minted

There is nothing quite like a cheerful workspace to make the workday happier and more productive. I am a firm believer that fresh flowers and bright colors can alleviate the blues no matter what. I had finally purchased a quality, sturdy desk (as well as this little filing cabinet to stay organized), which is quite the upgrade from the set up I had before seen here. When Minted offered to help me refresh my new space, I could not have been more thrilled!

The bright, natural light that filters through my windows during the day makes my room feel so light and airy. My “home office” set up is really just a corner of my bedroom, so for full disclosure – my bed and closet and bureau are behind these photos. Even though I often work in my bedroom, I love having a separate little corner that actually feels as though it is its own little room.

Although I admit I did have a bit of a hard time choosing some pieces, I knew I wanted to stick with my airy and bright theme. I also knew I wanted to choose something so integral to my personality that I would never tire of it and could have in my home for years to come. I ended up going with Flora in Peach 1 in a simple white frame. The soft and subtle hues are mostly very classic, but just the slightest bit whimsical – making it a great match for my aesthetic. When I was little, I was definitely no stranger to a day dream now and again. I remember thinking about what life would be like and how magical it would be when I was “grown up.” Now, I love that my workspace still conveys that sense of wonder and excitement for what is to come in the future.

I also chose this Plaid Water Drum Lampshade because the print is very unique but also quite versatile. It adds that perfect touch of creative inspiration to the space.

Of course – it is definitely not a secret just how much I LOVE fresh flowers. This time of year is when the ranunculus are available in abundance, and I can can’t resist a good grocery store flower deal.

This bright and cheery refresh came just in time for spring! I’m not sure what is going on with this snow (yes – can you believe it – SNOW?!) this April, but despite the freezing temps and blizzard conditions out there, I seek refuge in my little home office right here.
