Free Flowing Floral Maxi Dress

Spring Fever

Are you sick of my photos from Saint Thomas yet? It’s snowing like crazy in Boston, yet my mind is dreaming of warmer weather getaways – still! Looking back on these photos, editing them and sharing them is a great way for me to escape the New England chill. As much as I am desperately yearning for spring, I can’t be all that upset with this most recent snow storm, since I’m hoping to squeeze one last ski trip in this year.

Free Spirit

Something about this whimsical floral maxi dress by Free People just called my name. This is a dress that I was eager to invest in because I know I will get a lot of wear out of it this coming spring/summer season. On tropical vacations, I love to switch up my evening looks between long and short dresses (this floral maxi from last year was one of my all time favorites), but there is something extra special about a long dress flowing in the island breeze. Plus, I know this floral maxi will be a great option for summer weddings as well!

This most recent getaway was a family adventure, so my sister and I headed down to the beach to soak up the last few rays of sun during golden hour while we waited for our parents to head to dinner. Early evening, especially during golden hour, is my absolute favorite because the sun is giving off is warmest glow, but the temperature isn’t too hot. We had the most fun frolicking down by the beach as it was starting to empty out. I just can’t wait until we can do this here on our New England beaches!
