Easy Holiday Gifting

I pride myself on gifting during the holidays. I love to shop for my family and friends – especially as a fashion blogger, I know what each person’s wardrobe is lacking. However, what I struggle with is what to get for neightbors, co-workers, and friends with whom I’m just not all that close. What I’ve decided on in the past is to make lots of baked goods, and package up little bundles for everyone! This year, I’m making some of my favorite holiday cookies and treats and will package them up with festive ribbons and gift tags for everyone. Keep it Simple

This year, I’m sticking with a classic frosted sugar cookie recpie. I love these because they are easy to decorate with festive holiday colors, which makes them all that more special. Another holiday favorite of mine are my mom’s tried and true gingerbread cookies!

To make matters even easier, I just popped into my local Walmart for some of these festive red Rubbermaid TakeAlongs containers for my cookies. I figured that this bright color would be easy to dress up with ribbons, bows, and fun gift tags!

Spreading Holiday Cheer

After a full day of baking, frosting and decorating, the cookies are ready for packaging! For each recipient, I layered gingerbread cookies under a sheet of parchment, and then topped it off with some frosted treats! Then, I headed to my local craft store for rolls of ribbon, stickers are more for decorating. If you follow me on Snapchat (username: leigha_gardner), you might’ve seen the aftermath of my craft store shopping spree.

Gift Tag Printable

These make life so easy! I love to have a template I can use throughout the holiday season. I would recommend to print on cardstock for a more professional look. Just cut along the dotted line (I used a paper cutter for a straight edge), use a hole punch for the circle, then thread a ribbon through and tie on to your gift.

Those gift tags are cute–definitely going to make gifting easier! And I’m slightly obsessed with the little gingerbread man embellishments! (client)
