Easter is one of my favorite days of the year. With a bounty of pastels, egg decorating parties, and budding trees and flowers, it is such a joyous time. For me, Easter signifies that spring is really here! The only problem with that notion, is sometimes New England can be a bit slow to catch up. Growing up, my mom always made sure that my siblings and I each had a ‘dress coat’ to wear to church that was much nicer than our normal day-to-day coats. Usually in the wintertime, we had wool pea coats, and in the spring, we had pretty pastel trench coats. I loved my spring coats, and I grew to learn that I would almost certainly need a coat for Easter. Some years are colder than others here in New England, but a cardigan can often be an added comforting layer as well.
