Cold brew coffee was made for Fridays in the summer. With a different, somehow lighter and fruitier flavor than regularly brewed coffee, cold brew is so much more refreshing. Its important to distinguish between regular iced coffee, which has been brewed with hot water and then chilled, while cold brew coffee is actually brewed with cold water. In total, the process takes much longer (>12 hours), but the results are well worth it. Grady’s is a great brand you can find at Trader Joe’s, as well as TJ’s own brand. All you have to do is add milk or water to reconstitute. Or – if you’re in the Northeast or Midwest, Starbucks is now taking 20 precious hours each day to brew up a fresh batch for us avid coffee consumers. Worth it? I think so!
