Blush + Black Printed Top

A lot of people I know think that pink and black don’t look so great together. They think it is too bold or too edgy. I admit that I even used to be a part of that camp…I remember in middle school thinking that pink and black were kind of … punk rock, if you will. Now, I actually find that I love the soft, feminine hue of blush and I love it paired with almost anything – even black! Blush colored pieces can essentially be considered a neutral in my book, but I loved pairing this blush and black Vince Camuto top with black skinny jeans and other neutrals.

I also never used to be a hat person…until this year. This summer I can’t seem to wear my hats enough, and quite frankly they seem so essential. As a fairly light-skinned individual, I actually tan surprisingly well. However, this year, it has finally hit me just how bad the sun really is. I’ve been more conscious than ever of the sun’s damaging effects, and now that I’m getting older, I’m really trying to avoid those inevitable wrinkles as long as I can. I know it sounds silly for a twenty-something to say, but all those years of lying in the sun wearing only SPF4 as a teenager definitely didn’t do me any good! Hats, hats, and more hats for me from here on out!

I just can’t get enough of this blush and black printed top. It is a great summer piece, but it will also transition nicely into fall as well. I got it on major sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but unfortunately it has now gone back up to full price. I’ll keep my eye out for future price drops though!
