The Power of Mother Nature

The Key to Happiness = Get Outside

Fresh air, sunshine, clear skies. Mother Nature holds the keys to happiness. I have been savoring every possible second that I can outside. My weekends are so valuable to me because they are when I can spend the most time outdoors. When work schedules get busy and we are spending most of our daylight hours inside, it is easy to get lost in the little things and let anxiety levels rise. As someone who is more type-A than laid back, I can easily let all the little details, work-related or otherwise and things that I may or may not have control over cloud up my mind. There is really no need for incessant, unnecessary worrying. This is something I’ve learned the hard way over time.

The best way that I stay sane and grounded is to get moving and to get outside! There is no disputing the power of Mother Nature, but a little fresh air just does wonders for the soul! A little vitamin D from the sun, a little hike or bike ride to get the heart pumping and a few deep breaths to take in the scenery…well, that’s all I need to be happy!

A Tourist in Massachusetts

This past summer, I’ve made it my goal to explore this great state of mine (and New England as a whole) as much as possible. I’ve travelled to plenty of great destinations in the US and elsewhere, but sometimes I overlook the beauty right here in my backyard. It can be hard to find a reason to leave my little bubble bopping in and around the city, but getting out to the Berkshires recently was the greatest breath of fresh air (both literally and figuratively) that I could have ever asked for!

You might’ve seen on my Instagram that I’ve been visiting a few more fun spots in Massachusetts recently. I’ll be giving the full rundown on my most recent mini getaway to Nantucket soon, so stay tuned…!

Outfit Details

Leggings: Zella (from Nordstrom) | Top: Cabi (c/o, similar here and here) | Hat: Vineyard Vines | Sunnies: Warby Parker | Sneaks: Nike

One of the best benefits of being active is the opportunity to wear my favorite workout gear! I mean…am I right?! Half of the reason I motivate myself to exercise (which, truth be told doesn’t happen as much as it should), is to make sure I get some use out of my fave leggings and sneaks!

Are you taking advantage of The Great Outdoors to stay active?
