Autumn is in the Air
It was a chilly one yesterday! I don’t know about you, but yesterday truly felt like fall to me for the first time this year! Something about the cold, crisp air coupled with the excitement of the upcoming holidays and festivities brings out a certain energy in me. Although I can’t quite put this feeling into words, I can say that it is pure magic!
5 Reasons to Fall in Love…With Fall!
- Pumpkin Painting/Carving: Fall decorations are the most fun. It has been my tradition the past couple of years to paint my pumpkins instead of carving them. For me, it is easier and more creative. Below is a snap of last year’s pumpkins, and so far, I have bought this year’s pumpkins, but I have quite gotten around to painting them yet!
- Sweater Weather: After warm summer days, the cool, crisp air is so refreshing to breathe in. I love heading out to work in the mornings bundled up in a cozy sweater for the day. I’ve got my eye on this particular sweater right about now.
- Warm Drinks: I love a good hot coffee, but warm drinks are just no fun in the summer. A warm coffee to hold with cold hands…there are few better feelings. Has anyone tried the new Starbucks Chile Mocha? It’s hot and spicy – in all the best ways!
- Upcoming Holidays: The anticipation of Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas and finally New Years, all just right around the corner is almost too much to handle. Although this can be a stressful time of year for some, I prefer to look at the bright side. The season of gratitude, thoughtfulness and giving is upon us and these are the things that truly matter.
- Football Season: Even though I don’t follow football religiously (go Pats!) or have a fantasy team, I do love football season. But, the reasons I love football season are not the same reasons most guys love it! For me, it is all about getting together with friends and family, making good food and spending time together! Football Sundays were some of my favorite days growing up. I had a blast while I ran from sitting on the couch between my dad and grandfather while they animatedly watched the game into the kitchen to help my mom and grandmother and back again.

I’m finally getting into the fall mood I guess the cold weather is inevitable haha! My favorite thing about fall is definitely sweater weather! I’m always so cold natured so it’s nice I can wear a sweater or have a blanket on and not be looked at as crazy haha! Also I love scary movies and this time of the year it really goes up a notch!

Anything pumpkin makes me smile about fall! Either I’m eating pumpkin, painting pumpkin, carving pumpkin…. it doesn’t matter as long as a pumpkin is involved!
