Red Lips, White Dress, & Blue Denim

Happy 4th of July weekend! I hope everyone is enjoying this very American holiday weekend so far! As one of my favorite holidays of the year, I can not wait to celebrate tomorrow. Last year, I was in Bermuda on the 4th, and although we had a blast, it didn’t feel quite right. That was my second time being out of the country for the 4th of July, and it always feels a little sad. This year, I’m ready for a true American summer party and cookout!

Every year around this time, I always feel like I’m scrambling or running out to find something patriotic to wear for the holiday; however, I already have so many red, white and blue options in my closet to choose from. I don’t think I’m the only one either! As this festive holiday approaches, I started really sifting through my closet. This white lace cutout dress (also seen here) is one of my favorites and can really be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I paired this with my favorite denim jacket (really, what is more American than that?!) and a classic red lip. It’s subtle and simple, but a great way to feel festive with what I had on hand.

These are all snaps from a walk along the beach before dinner last weekend on Cape Cod. As you can see, I was testing out my outfit for tomorrow! My favorite red bag, featured yesterday, might have to be a last minute addition for tomorrow!

What are you wearing to show your patriotic colors this 4th of July?

Thanks Biana!! At first I thought maybe the cut outs weren’t my style, but I felt great in the dress once I put it on! So glad you stopped by! xo -L
